How To Style a Fishtail Braid

Image
Steps :   1. Backcomb/tease the crown of your head. This makes the hair “sticky” for starting the fishtail. 2. Gather a small handful of hair from the back center of the head and separate the hair into two sections. 3. + 4. Take a small strand of hair from the right section, pull it back and cross it over to join the left hair section. 5. + 6. Take a small strand of hair from the left section, pull it back and cross it over to join the right hair section. 7. Repeat these steps all the way down the back of the head. Continue throughout the “tail”. 8. Secure with hair tie. Fishtails looks beautiful a little disheveled. To achieve this look gently pull apart/loosen the braid. It’s ok if it’s uneven or little pieces falls out. Gives the fishtail a youthful, messy ease. CLICK TO READ MORE .

Make a French-Style Side Braid

Image
Steps : 1 : Start by separating a small section of hair from the bottom of the sweep of hair going across the back of your neck. 2 : Split this section of hair into three sections and begin braiding as usual. Grab one of the outer sections and cross it over to the middle, then grab the outer section on the opposite side and pull it to the middle. 3 : Continue braiding, add a section of loose hair from the hair sweeping over your other shoulder before you move it to the middle. By the time the (once-small) braid reaches the opposite side of your head, it should contain all your hair, not just the little section. 4 : When you reach the opposite ear, braid the rest of your hair like a normal braid. 5 : Secure the end of the braid with an elastic band, arrange any wisps of hair that are hanging out, and spray with hair spray if desired. Swap this condiment for a hydrating treatment like Kérastase Nutritive Masquintense for Thick Hair . CLICK TO READ MORE .
